Senior Seminar and Synthesis

Description

Students develop an integrated perspective on their field of interest within chemistry through synthesis of organic and inorganic compounds and develop proficiency in practical laboratory procedures and reporting results. Students will experience individual assignments, written reports, oral reports and class discussions on chemical topics of current interest. Reading, writing, speaking and critical thinking skills are emphasized. 1 Lecture hour and 4 Lab hours. Goal 7. Prerequisite: Chemistry or Biochemistry Major. Junior or higher. Offered: Spring.
