Humanities Capstone
Description
Experience in conducting, practicing and communicating scholarship in a chosen field of study is integral to professional success. Students will examine significant issues at the forefront of theory and research in their chosen humanities fields and meet with a professional to identify a specific need or problem within that field that they want to address through independent research. They will then design and execute an advanced research project and deliver a public presentation to communicate their ideas to a broader audience. Designed to foster collaboration and engagement across humanities disciplines, this course invites students to use the research, writing and communications skills developed throughout their coursework to produce a culminating Capstone project. If taken previously as a topics course, no credit can be received. Prerequisites: Senior Status. English or Communications major or minor with Permission of Instructor. Offered: Spring.
