Title
Ethics of AI and Technology
Description
Advances in AI and technology have already significantly impacted our lives and raise harrowing ethical and societal questions about our future. Some issues to be considered in the course are: the appropriate use of AI in academic settings; how we ought to integrate these new technologies into our lives; and whether we have any moral obligations to AI itself, even if it is not consciously aware. Students will discover various positions that can be taken on these and other issues by utilizing ethical theories and develop arguments to support their own positions. Prerequisite: None.
