Description
The course will examine the impact of social, psychological, and physical factors on quality of life (QOL) outcomes. It introduces key concepts, theoretical perspectives, and methodologies in the interdisciplinary field of health-related quality of life studies. It also explores cultural variations in the US and across other nations. Students will learn how to apply health related QOL assessment tools to evaluate the quality of life at societal, group and individual levels. Credit in SO 300 Quality of Life and SO 342 can be earned one one time. Prerequisite: Sophomore or higher. Offered: Spring
