Title

Business & ProfessionalWriting

Description

The study of the role and application of leadership principles to writing in the workplace. Writing in the workplace is not simply a matter of presenting facts and recommendations with an emphasis on clarity and focus; rather, it is the context of the task that drives the value of the resulting writing. Leaders in the workplace write to change lives and, to do so, must understand and manage the impact of their words. This approach requires an analysis of the situation and an analysis of the data used to create the written communication. Cannot earn credit in COMM 301 and EN 204. Prerequisite: EN 101 or EN 110.
