Description
Students examine predictive analytics that help decision makers evaluate possible various scenarios based upon historical data predictors such as revenues, profits, market share, the probability of making a sale, and the probability of losing a client. Students are introduced to predictive modeling methods, approaches, and tools. Students develop and use advanced predictive analytics methods. Using these methods, students gain expertise in the use of popular tools and software for predictive analytics; learn how to develop predictive analytics questions; identify the most appropriate predictive analytics methods and tools, and apply these methods to answer the respective questions and present data-driven solutions. Prerequisite: IS 502.
