Description
This practicum course provides Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) students with advanced leadership skills and strategies essential for improving healthcare delivery, enhancing patient outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety within healthcare systems. Students will apply principles of population-based healthcare, practice data analysis of risk aversion, perform a gap analysis, evaluate social determinants of health, and design patient and population centered interventions to promote optimal health outcomes at both the micro and macrosystem levels. Additionally, students will participate in promoting an environment grounded in patient-centered care, model utilization of evidence-based decision making, and foster professional development of self and team members. This course includes 100 practicum hours. Prerequisites: NR 670, NR 670L and NR 698. Grade of B or higher. Corequisite: NR 720. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
