Description
This course explores topics of historical or contemporary interest specific to Spain through the examination of Spanish culture from pre-Roman times to the 21st century. Students will garner a better understanding of Spanish identity, explore cultural themes and historical issues that have shaped Spain, and examine how culture reflects everyday life. Students will examine a representative selection of works from a time periods selected by the instructor. Courses numbered SP361 Topics in Spanish Culture may be repeated for credit when offered as different topics. 3 lecture hours. Taught in Spanish. Prerequisite: SP301 or NU Placement Test score of 536 or higher.
